Being in Service–A Real Ego Killer

When Life calls you to be in service–take the call.

There’s a lot of discussion in spirituality about ego and the myriad of ways to diminish it. No matter what spiritual tradition you are studying, there are unlimited suggestions and tools for doing so. However, no matter how many methods we come up ? nothing can replace service as one of the most powerful techniques.

But even service isn’t immune to the devious ways of the ego to assert itself. Nothing can demolish a great experience of service than the ego getting all puffed up about yourself and how much you’re helping others. Well, if this is the point of view you are approaching service from, obviously you’re not going to lessen your ego ? you’re going to inflate it.

Astral Traveling For Beginners

The best place to start learning how to astral is by having an understanding at what astral traveling is. Astral Projection in the most basic sense is when you are totally awake while your body is totally asleep. Most people describe this sensation as an out of body experience. To learn how to astral is not as difficult as you might think. The problem is we tend to over complicate everything and thus we make astral traveling more difficult then it actually is.

Here are 3 quick astral projection techniques that I think will go along way to helping you along your quest at experiencing an astral voyage.

Bigfoot - An Enigma With Many Possible Identities

A few years ago, I received a video from my good friend and experienced paranormal investigator, Dick Criswell. It was filmed in Oakland, Oregon, and involved an amazing guy named Stan Johnson and his unique understanding of Bigfoot. Sasquatch, Bigfoot, Yeti, Abominable Snowman or Skunk Ape; call it what you will. Most people think of the legendary creature as some sort of missing link or unidentified primate. Stan has a different view and it has caused me to reexamine my own conclusions about these beings.

Easy Ways To Make Money

Personally I do not know of any other business tool ever invented by mankind that is free and yet has such an awesome potential to make money fast at lightning speed for those who understand it. Everybody knows that the World Wide Web is crowded with hype peddlers promoting the sort of opportunity which rather than help you make money is designed only to raise funds fast for those promoting them who really do not care about you. It really isn’t that difficult to make money fast online, you just need to thoroughly understand the World Wide Web and how it works.

Selling Uncovered Calls, Part 1

A buyer’s risks are limited to the premium cost; depending on how many points a stock moves up, a call seller’s losses can be much higher.

When you take a short position in a call, the decision to exercise belongs to the buyer. You need to be able and willing to deliver 100 shares in the event that the call is exercised, no matter how high current market value has gone. If you do not already own 100 shares, you will be required upon exercise to buy 100 shares at current market value and deliver them at the striking price of the call. The difference in these prices could be significant.

Technology Integration In School

Of all of the people in the school building, as a group, no one is more excited about using technology than the students. By sixth grade, most students can create and save a Word document and save it to the appropriate space. Many can design a Power point slide presentation. Most, if not all, can access the internet via web address. Skills that students need to perfect are: conducting a search via Google or other search engines; correcting work through Spelling and Grammar Check; and using e-mail constructively and safely. Students also need to use the computers in an educational tool, not as a free time activity. Many students do not have computers at home, and if they do, very few have internet access.

The Advantages Of A Stereo Zoom Microscope

If you have had no experience with microscopes other than your exposure to them in high school biology lab, you may have never heard of a stereo zoom microscope. You almost certainly used a compound microscope throughout your high school career.

A stereo zoom microscope differs from a compound microscope in that it has a set of two eyepieces, like a stereo audio system has two speakers. With two eyepieces the stereo zoom microscope functions like a telescope, except that it is used to view very small close objects instead of very large distant ones.

The Mind Body Connection - What Is It Really?

A war has been silently raging on now for hundreds of years. Do you know the one I mean? Rene Descartes inadvertently started it, early in the Seventeenth Century, when he proclaimed that the body and mind are separate. Even today then, this war continues, as knighted warriors dressed in alphabet soup armor and traditional deference do all they can to ruin the careers and lives of the unknighted, less deferential warriors all the while claiming they are doing this to protect the lives of innocent people.
