First of all what is a Myth? I have a few definitions:
Something not true , fiction, or falsehood. A truth disguised or distorted. A popular belief that is false or unsupported by facts.
These myths are very common in the network marketing industry and at some point, at some point I realized that these are nothing more than just myths. I was able to really understand the MLM industry and what it would really take to build my business.
1. Your upline will build your business for you.
2. 3-way phonecalls will enable you to recruit.
3. The “system” will do all of the work.
4. The product will sell itself.
5. The product and compensation plan is all that matters.
6. All you need is your warm market.
7. You can make big bucks FAST!
8. All you need is 2, or 3, or 5 people to build the business.
9. You can buy your way to success.
10.Your MLM program is the best in the history of the world.
These myths are very popular today because they send the message of achieving success with little or no effort. Network Marketing is truly a real business and with any real business, there will be hard work and commitment involved. But of course, this information is withheld for fear that the prospect will not join the business. If hard work and commitment is an issue for your prospect, then you might want to reconsider sponsoring that individual. The ideal prospect is someone who is ready and really to take responsibility for their own network marketing success.
Avoiding the common lies and myths in the network marketing industry will pull back the curtain and open the door to what it really takes to succeed in business. It will allow you to see for yourself how great of a home-based network marketing business really is and those you come in contact with will take it more seriously.
